I am a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at the University of Utah. My research is in political economy and macroeconomics, with close connections to industrial organization. Broadly, I am interested in how decentralized and uneven production, carried out by firms that differ enormously in size and position, gives rise to the regularities we observe in the economy as a whole.
My current research focuses on inflation. In my dissertation, I study how cost shocks to large firms spread through production networks and shape inflation and price volatility in the United States. In earlier work, I studied profitability and accumulation from the perspective of classical political economy, including the measurement, long-run dynamics, and distribution of the rate of profit.

I have taught a wide range of courses at the University of Utah, from principles of economics to comparative economic systems and statistics.
Outside of work, I enjoy hiking and playing badminton.
I am on the 2026–2027 academic job market and expect to complete my Ph.D. in May 2027.
